Had the honor of being commissioned to create the cover for “The Call”, the beautiful song featured in @affirmationculture “THE CALL FOR JUSTICE” #Blackhistorymonth campaign. This song was written by my dear friend @jacobbillsmusic in the days following the murder of George Floyd.
This song is a mediation on the power and relentlessness of people unifying their voices to demand justice and lift the voices of those who need to be heard. This painting represents justice, equality, union and the need to keep on rising.
The Call is now available in all platforms. Buy it from @bandcamp! 50% of sales to to @diejimcrow , the first record label in the United States for formerly and currently incarcerated musicians.
Shot out to @leilaadu for joining Jacob in the choir, @tylerjscott & @cleancutcollectivela for mixing.
